At British Gypsum we use a network of independent plasterers who have been carefully assessed and certified as members of our select plasterer scheme. This means that all enhancements come with a two-year workmanship guarantee. So you can rest assured that the work in your home will always be of the highest quality
Our promise to you
Your walls will be made ready for plastering in accordance with British Gypsum’s guidelines. The surfaces in your home that are not to be plastered will be fully protected during the work. The utmost care will be taken to ensure mess and disruption is minimised and your home is left clean and tidy.
Our approved plasterers will always be honest, friendly and polite in their dealings with you. Your deposit will be protected under the British Gypsum certified scheme.
Note: deposits must not exceed 25% of the total value of the job or be no more than £2,000. Our approved plasterers will have public liability insurance to a minimum of £1m in place. You will receive a written, legible, comprehensive quotation for the work to be undertaken which will include details of materials and labour and clear terms of payment (including deposits) before any work starts.
Your two-year cover
Our approved plasterers will guarantee their work for two years after completion. British Gypsum will underwrite the approved installer’s guarantee for the same period. The British Gypsum guarantee will cover complimentary products used in the plastering process but does not include products manufactured by competitor firms. Use of competitor products will invalidate the guarantee. The products covered include all Thistle brand plasters and accessories and British Gypsum’s ‘Designed for’ range of finishes.
Note: all products must be used in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
In the unlikely event that you have a complaint, the issue should be raised, in the first instance, with our Certified plasterer. The plasterer will then inform us of the situation. Our Certified plasterer is required to resolve the issue directly with you.
