After a long wait, we are finally ready to get the decorators in! Now the fun begins…
It’s taken a while to get here, see last months renovation post as a reminder of the start of the renovation journey.
Over the next few months we are going to decide on the style of each room and I’ll share our thoughts here, starting with our son’s bedroom. At the moment he’s five, but we want to ensure that the space can be flexible as he grows up – he may be into superheroes now, but they may not appeal as much when he is 18!
I’ve done some research and found a lot of inspiration on décor for a boy’s bedroom at House to Home website. I particularly love the idea of incorporating world map wallpaper into the design, but in reality it will be more of a marvel than map theme.

The Feather and Black furniture in the room is fairly modern and fuss free so we think it will last a fair few years. As we bought it before the build started, the design of the room will have to fit in with it.

And of course I love the idea of incorporating ThistlePro Magnetic into the design in this room. I think it could create a fab interactive play space now, and as our son grows it would be brilliant for attaching photographs of his friends, his favourite football players or even study plans when he hits 16 (I may be dreaming here!) to the wall.
We will share the end results on this blog when the room is completed.
