You may remember that a few weeks ago we took three interior bloggers Wild & Grizzly, Sarah Akwisombe and Love Chic Living and put them to the ultimate test by challenging them to put up a shelf using no drills and no specialist fixtures.
Our bloggers were product testing our Gyproc Habito plasterboard – stronger more durable plasterboard that allows you to fix up to 15kg directly to your wall using only a standard wood screw – and it wasn’t long before the bloggers felt like DIY champions. They put the shelves up in no time and were free to design their shelves into striking, themed spaces. Check out how they did below:
Wild and Grizzly:
Lori, from Wild and Grizzly said: “I wondered how on earth I was going to put up a shelf with style without making a mess of their freshly primed walls. As I was tasked with styling a pastel theme I had some pretty cool props to play around with including a porcelain cactus jewellery holder and a Cool to be Kind
Sarah Akwisombe Blog:
Blogger Sarah from Sarah Akwisombe Blog said: “After realising how easy it was to put up the shelves (literally stood and screwed it in with a manual screwdriver, I feel so superwoman-y) I was tasked with dressing the shelf in the ever-so-trendy botanical theme.”
Love Chic Living:
Blogger Jen from Love Chic Living said: “I feel empowered. I almost consider myself a DIYer! Seriously though this does make a huge difference and to DIY adverse types like myself, this is a must. Here’s how my shelves turned out. I was pretty pleased with them and think they’d look great in a child’s bedroom.”
And after all that “hard” work, of course the ladies needed a glass of bubbly to celebrate!
