For good acoustic performance

When the space you have available is limited but you require higher performance

Low Space Liner

This system is normally used when a higher level of noise reduction is needed but space is limited. The system consists of a metal frame attached to an existing wall. This frame is then lined with two layers of 15mm SoundBloc boards. This system creates greater separation than the bonded panel system and will reduce noise transfer through the wall. These solutions are used widely in homes to soundproof against noisy neighbours and to stop higher levels of noise between rooms.

Components needed for Low Space Liner

High performance liner
  • Wafer Head Drywall Screws
British Gypsum Wafer Head Drywall Screws
  • Gyproc SoundBloc
    Gyproc SoundBloc

Gypsum plasterboard with a higher density noise insulating core and a blue paper face for easy recognition. The higher density core design of this board enables the wall, partition and ceiling systems to provide greater sound insulation performance levels over standard products by reducing the transmission of sound between rooms.

  • Drywall Screws
    British Gypsum Drywall Screws
  • Acoustic Partition Roll (APR 1200)
    Acoustic Partition Roll (APR 1200)
  • Gyproc Sealant
    Gyproc Sealant

Used to seal airpaths for optimum sound insulation

  • Gypframe GL8 Track
    Gypframe GL8 Track
Ceiling track for retaining Gypframe GL1 Lining Channel at wall abutments
  • Gypframe GL1 Lining Channel
    Gypframe GL1 Lining Channel

Main support channel to receive fixing of board

  • Gypframe GL2 Bracket
    Gypframe GL2 Bracket
For connecting the Gypframe GL1 Lining Channel to the existing ceiling (maximum 75mm stand-off)
